After speaking with Mrs. Ortega, I think I'd like to revise my EQ to something along the lines of "What is an adviseable way of maintaining a sustaining career as a freelance writer?"

There are multiple fields of journalism or reporting that one can go into in order to become a freelance writer and earn a living.
- Get involved with local events and find contacts
- Intern for a local or major newspaper
- Enter contests
- Write fan fiction (It worked for E.L. James)
- Daily practice of writing
